Melt butter in a saucepan or in your microwave
Add the syrup, sugar and cinnamon. Stir until you have a smooth paste.
Add flour and mix until it thickens and becomes smooth.
Spread out on a flat baking pan, lined with a silpat baking sheet, silicone paper will work also. Spread as evenly as possible.
Cover with a piece of plastic wrap and using a rolling pin roll out to an even thickness. Size or shape doesn't matter. Get it evenly thin.
Bake in a 350 °F. oven for 3 to 5 minutes until it dries some, think of it as a large cinnamon cookie.
Cool some and score into smaller pieces. I used a rolling pizza cutter and cut the sheet into small squares.
Return to the warm oven and continue to dry the cinnamon bark. When completely dry, break apart as desired and store in an airtight container until needed.
